Guys the reason i started this group is for owners of fireball engines to get together and discuss the pros n cons of this engine
All engines have their own peculiarities and this is the place to discuss to help others and prevent them making mistakes already made
As this engine is normally packaged for beginers im all for helping the new guy out with any tips or advice that will stop them from say leaning out a engine first time out on the track
There is so much to learn in karting and the engine and tuning mainting it is only one of 100 things we need to learn
Any information provided here is to be given with the above in mind.
We are not expecting the super secret tuning tips to be provided, just the basics to let people not have to worry about the engine and let them focusing on learning driver technique
try and start a new post here more then on the wall so the information is easier to track

That was a bargain, so much that Alex bought it!
The KT1 is my favourite chassis (using a 2009 model still) and very well suited to all TAG classes.

TAG 125 Club NSW
Presents the TAG Super Series 2012
Round 1
MANNING VALLEY
Welcome to the 2012 TAG Super Series!
This year will see the inclusion of the hugely popular TAG 125 Restricted (TAG-R) category into the NSW Closed Titles. If you are in the Metro Zone in NSW, to qualify for the NSW Closed Titles in TAG-R must be done through the TAG Super Series, so this year is going to yield existing racing for the TAG-R fields.
NSW Sportsman 125 rules are to be used for unrestricted TAG open category – Sportsman 125. Since qualifying for the NSW Closed Titles is done through the NSW State Cup Rounds (Metro, Southern and Northern) and not the TAG Super Series we are expecting the casual, but fierce, competition these karters have shown over the years is repeated in 2012.
Thank you Manning Valley, we are racing under lights! A new location for the TAG Super Series in 2012 round 1 and we are all very excited to bring the Metro TAG circus to town. Remember to bring CLEAR visors for this twilight meeting. You can see all the information for the TAG Super Series on our website;
http://www.tagaustralia.com.au/news.html
Manning Valley Kart Club is also joined by Orange Kart Club as two new locations joining Combined Districts Kart Club (Lithgow), Wollongong Kart Racing Club, Newcastle Kart Racing Club and North Shore Kart Club (Eastern Creek) for the 2012 TAG Super Series.
Thank you and I hope to see you all at Manning Valley for Round 1.

Please put issues like this in a discussion for everyone to learn from. The comments wall is meant for short term comments that don't matter long term. Discussions are meant to be tracked for all members to read.
I have copied this into a discussion.
You cannot mix match any major components from old and new ignition, including the wiring looms.
There is no fuse on the old type and it is not needed. The old type can run without any wiring on the kart. The loom is a starting loom, and supplies power to the starter motor only.
The fuse is required on the new ignition because the power is being supplied to the ignition module (ECU of sorts). The new loom is a "control" item and not allowed to be modified (same as Rotax and IAME rules).
is the wiring or the whole ignition thats different and how can i tell if the wirings been changed
i been told old type ignition
Hi Paul have you got easy start wiring or old type ?
