hey guys im just in the process of the install of the engine and accessories im bout to get a engine mount plus drill my own aswell.....after bit better measuring i am able to use it. now what has me bit stumped is the radiator. the mounts are there as well as mounting points on the chassis (ax6 28/30) but when the radiator is lined up the outlet at the top right of the radiator (looking from back) looks like its gonna go straight into the seat. unless i lay it right down im not sure how im sposed to mount it. can i please get some pics of owners to show how im meant to set it up.
ive also dont something lil different with the water pump s i dont have the lug to mount it behind the seat ive mounted it infront of the brake caliper (see pic) pluses of this are i wont need to remove axle to fit and replace water pump orings.

Hey mate, get one of the other fellas to confirm but i think the pump is designed to rotate the other way and it won't work how you've mounted it (the rotation will be wrong..)
oh bugger will wait for a comment, bugger if your right n here i was thinking id come up with a good one lol. thanks for that though wayne
you'll probably see an arrow showing the direction, maybe on the pulley..
in regards to radiator etc, i'll try and take some pics tomorrow (my kart is at work).. With that engine mount, so long as you have 2 of the holes not elongated you should be fine.
what class are you running? because i dont think your chassis will be stiff enough to cope with the forces of a TaG engine....i'm running lights and running 30/30 while the heavier guys will be running 30/32 or 32/32

Nice thinking on the water pump, although you have do something a little trikstar like to get the pump turning the right way... run the belt as a figure 8 not the conventional way. This will turn the pump the right way.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER - this is NOT a recommended technique. I have never performed or tested this or heard of anyone doing it. I am mearly pointing out the direction of the pump will be correct running the belts this way.
Now with the radiator. If the hot side (top) is pointing at the seat the radiator is too far forward. You will be hitting it with your arm when driving. 2nd point is you dont need to stand a Fireball radiator up. I have mine at around 30deg (gangster lean...), but i recommend 15-20deg. CRG run 10deg but i think it is too upright.
You can see Hrynuik (#45) in Chris Dells kart has a 10deg setup and me in #12 with max lean. Hrynuik has the radiator near his arm and the pipe only just misses the seat.
Permalink Reply by Michael Hazelton on January 18, 2012 at 14:59 I run the axle pulley, as do all the karts i set up. not running the pulley slows down the water pump which can help eliminate cavitation of the water. However, I run the pulley on my F100 and it is 5kmh faster than at TAG with no problems. May be an issue on a really long flowing track like Pucka in Viccy, but that is about it.
paul, i am worried for you with this figure 8 thing.. make sure you have a temp alarm in case it stuffs out!.. i think i'd be welding a bracket on the chassis or something, or maybe just flip it around and use a massive spacer of some description, like a giant nut (or two) that clears the bolt!... good luck with it.

Canberra is fast for NSW, but not compared to pucka. in TAG-R or open you will be ok. I have tested the F100 alot at Canberra. I live 8 min away from the track!
If you are in the area I might be able to have a look at the setup for you.
