Permalink Reply by Michael Hazelton on January 9, 2012 at 20:05 The newest generation solid boss clutch (2011) is more reliable in the bonding of the shoes compared to the last evolution. the actual clutch boss is interchangable on any of the model Fireballs. You will need to match the clutch drum to the crankshaft (there are two sizes, pre mid 2010 and 2011 on) If you have a circlip holding the drum on it is a 2011 on small crank.
The only issue that still exists is the breaking of the "pucks" on the solid boss. This will most likely be addressed on the next gen boss.
