seat was in the factory spec position. Moved it up 20mm and back about 3-4mm. the kart is now putting heat into the tyres (not heaps, still approx 3psi higher than most) turning and releasing :D. It appears that my theory has worked

Royce, I know it's an odd question, but what's your seat position at? and what's the front and rear balance on it too?

The seat is one of the most vital setup point for the Kart as it sets the balance and center of gravity, and if your seat position isn't quite right then in my opinion it would be worth getting that right first and then moving on to working out the rest of the problem.

Hi Col, and K racer clan. I'm having setup troubles with my GP6/XE28 in SNL and am hoping for some help.

Major Problem; Kart comes on by lap 2, and ceases to lift the rear at any point during cornering for the remainder of the race. After this lack of jacking effect, it tears at the surface of all tyres giving strong signs of under and oversteer. The only time the kart turned and released well (and gave me almost perfect wear), was during qualli on brand new tyres (afternoon, sunny, approx 30c air, track: tamworth with light rubber)

Things I've noticed about the set-up; the kart is only positive to steer with 25psi all around (in the heat too), kart is quicker with 5mm spacer in front +2camber and spindle mags, rear has 30mm 'X' with short hubs and RT=1320, all tensioned bolts loose (except crash bars F+R).
I tried lowering the front of the seat to move weight forward + lower (only a small movement of 10mm seat spacer) yet this made things significantly worse. Kart is also overly stable on brakes (can trail brake a few meters into most corners)

I am thinking COG/weight needs to go in the opposite direction, but mostly ^up^ to make the kart work the tyres more and transfer that weight and lift a wheel. Am i talking crazy or can someone make sense and help?!

much appreciated :)
