If anyone has good pictures of, or copies of articles on the Whirlwind kart - or can point me too such - I would dearly love to see them.

IN THE INTEREST OF SAFETYDue to a recent spate of drivers catching fingers into there chains and losing part of a finger, I would urge all drivers of vintage karts to upgrade their engine chain gaurds to fully enclose around the drive sprockets to prevent any further loss of limbs .
Back home, the dust has settled, time to reflect on Grenfell,, first of, a huge thanks to Grenfell kart club for having us down, there is just something a little special about this place, Next a huge thankyou to Mark @ Sue Mc Keddie for the huge effort it takes for keeping everthing running smoothly @ for posting up all the time sheets, @ I apolagize for throwing a spanner in the works ( well more like a finger tip in a chain.) just to add a little extra drama to the day. Now that leads me to the biggest thanks for the day, that is to the wondefull ladies that just took control of the situation @ calmly patched me up, so well so, that the Ambos complimented the job @ left it on. Unfortunately I did not catch your names, but I thank you all VERY much,So if any one knows, or is married to any of these wonderfull ladies please pass on my most sincere thanks. Also to Leesa Cunningham for kindly offering to drive me to a hospital, I've only meet Leesa twice,Awesome jesture, so thanks Leesa, & you will get to drive my twin one day!!!!!.Also to Cathy Logan for taking over & organizing the Ambulance, & packing me of with my spare parts in a bag, as always, you are a legend. My apolagies if I've missed anyone. On a personal note, My biggest dissapointment was that I missed watching Maddie Hill & Leesa Cunningham serving it up to the boys in the twins.!!!!!! Time to finish of now ,gotta go dunk my stump in some rooting powder & see if I can grow a new one.!! Regards Dave.

I would like to see the 86 homologation papers and see what all the differences are between the 78 engine and the 86 engine.

This is from my UK corespondent sometime ago!!
"The Sirio 51 TT was a TT, homologated in 78. The Sirio 50 was the later motor with the nuts for the barrel / crankcase recessed from the top. This was homolgated in 1986. In the uk versions were sold with the three TT ports larger TT and a National version with the normal TT. I dont think this was internationally homologated. The TT45 is the reed from 83."
