This one is fiberglass and would be very easy to replicate if it is correct.
Is this close to being correct?
Hi Doug the one I have is fiberglass from memory most were . I will take a photo tonight of mine . Unsure if anyone has a mould for them as the bloke who made mine has unfortunately passed away many years ago. I never found out what happened to his moulds as he also did a lot of speedway stuff.
I went from the Shadow to CRG in 89 and it came with plastic not fiberglass. From memory the early Australian products were fiberglass, but others who have a better memory may confirm.
Thanks Wayne and Paul. Were the after market Nassau panels fiber glass in the mid 80's to the early 90's? A photo would be a help Wayne.
I had a shadow 830 which would have been 87-88. It came with a 30mm axle. Also from memory they manufactured a shadow 828 which I believe was the 25mm axle version. There was no issue with the brakes on the shadow 830, what Tom is talking about isn't this make of kart and as other have stated nassau panels weren't used back then.
These karts were manufactured by Peter Dell from St George kart centre
Hi Doug I started racing in 1988 and can't remember any kart coming with a factory Nassau panel . I know we had one made up if you like Doug I can take a photo of it for you. From memory I think the arrow A9S may have had been sold with a factory Nassau panel .
The year of manufacture is 1987-88 according to the frame builder and his name I can't bring to mind at the moment. Thanks for info on the brakes I will check them.
Doug, The shadow was about 76 and 25mm axle was correct. They did not come with a Nassau panel. Think hard about the original brakes ... I never found them reliable or safe until I replaced them with MKC units.
