Chris Barry replied to James's discussion New Cadet 9 rules for 2018
"I'm pretty sure that the people who have already purchased dash/loggers are still going to use them in practice/testing and remove them for racing. If the cost of entry is a priority its a real shame that we can't get the Mini Rok motors…"

Chris Barry replied to James's discussion New Cadet 9 rules for 2018
"I can't figure why they are focused on Cadet 9 as the entry level to karting. I see a lot of people starting karting in 12's, juniors or even seniors. Why not make those other classes "simpler and more affordable" as…"

Chris Barry replied to David Gibcus's discussion Wanted: Cadet Tyres
"Greg. Worth pointing that rule out. I made the tool to use on my circuit racing sportscars. Can be handy after a stack of laps behind the pace car only to finish on a red flag with tyres like lamingtons."

Chris Barry replied to R-Force Racing Darren's discussion Vortex Mini Rok starter motor problem
"If you undo the 3 bolts on the support bracket, and 4 bolts around the bendix housing the starter pulls back off the motor. You can then remove the bendix and clean it thoroughly. Its not that tricky to remove, just make sure to keep track of the…"

Chris Barry replied to R-Force Racing Darren's discussion Vortex Mini Rok starter motor problem
"Remove the starter and make sure the bendix unit isn't gummed up with chain lube. Pull the flywheel off and use a small file to deburr the back of the teeth. If the driver holds their finger on the starter too long the backs of the teeth get a…"
