Stephen Moxon said… G'Day Leigh, I have purchased another DAP 79, same motor I ran a Numurkah, will set up a twin with them, we could have some fun at Lithgow and Numurkah this year.
Hello Leigh,
Ballarat is definitely on the cards. If i bring a kart it will probably be my dap a-frame. It had brake issues at numurkah and didn't get any track time.
Been hot here in the Mount, went over 41 degrees yesterday and 34 today. The heat saps the energy and i'm in the middle of our christmas shut doing maintenance. Damned hot in overalls.
Regards, John
Ralph Sonntag said… Hello Leight,
so far I've never seen one.
135cc PCR rotary valve has a KKCD member from Switzerland.
Hello Leigh,
I like the twins too but until the x8 never had one or driven one. They certainly open the eyeballs. We have a dap 135 to go on something and a pair of komet k88s to go on something as well. The zip kart in the shed might be a possibility for the komets with some work.
We had few vintage karts down here, at the Mount, for our fiftieth anniversary last year and alot of interest was shown. Maybe something might happen.
It's good to hear you've got the tecno looking great again. It will be interesting to see it going with the rotaxes on it. Might have to go to Ballarat just to have a look.
See you then, John.
Hello Leigh,
Numurkah was great, if a bit warm. I'm glad you like the look of my x8. It was a local kart but had been dodged up in the back particularly in brake mountings. Some new bar work and caliper mounts fixed it.
I had been having a sticky throttle problem and as it turned out, the left one. It stuck open and i found the kitty litter. Nice mess afterwards. It's unfortunate that you have to powdercoat again. Both your twins look brilliant.
Catch up next time, John.

I used to race against your dad and uncle back in the 60's. I am so old I even remember your grandfather Noel racing.
Cheers Ian Jolley
