"Dry is not an indicator of wrong doing.......sparkplug will tell the story.......with the engine really on song, would expect the header to be dry and grey......and in general, your not using enough oil. No less than 18:1."

"Yea, but I'm getting different opinions from what people are telling me, some say oily, some say dry...Both the header & the outlet are dry."

"Where are you looking at the pipe is it the header pipe or the outlet of the exhaust . if its the header pipe slightly oily is best . if its the outlet of the exhaust it should be dry .there's no need to lubricate the exhaust . the oil is there…"
