Hi all, im looking at getting into karting and am considering buying a second hand monaco gp6 28/30 kt 100s. I weigh about 95kg. i want to race in clubman heavy or super heavy. Is this chassi suitable for that or not? I dont know what size rear axel the kart has, would the frame be ok if i put a 50mm axel in it?

Any advice would be a help. Thanks .

Ah jacking, yes i learnt all about jacking in Oct issue of Kart Oz Magazine, LOL. Thanks for the help mate, karting is quite a bit harder to get started in as apposed to motox, theres so many choices. With the bikes you just pick a cc and off you go.Any how, thanks again for the help.

the j motors dont produce enough force to twist the chassis during turning, and putting a light kid on a large chassis wont allow jacking

Thanks Rishi, thats the response i thought i was going to get, i was hoping it was gonna be ok because theres one going for a good price at the moment and i was hoping to be able to use it for 6 months or so and then hand it down to my son, hes only 50kg. If i get a 30/32 could i hand that down to my son later, if i put a j motor in it, or would that be to ridgid for him. hes only 14, i think he would be in the junior national light class?

For a heavy bloke you would be looking at 30/32mm (28/30 is too thin).
