Good day,

I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and demand it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on (augustinaziankou@vp.pl) for the full details.

Have a nice day.
Mr. Augustin.

Hi Greg,
I haven't decided anything yet.
I do like the new features of the 2015 engine but I don't know when it will be able to be bought or run yet, who does eh!
I'll keep you in mind if that's the way I'm going.

Greg. I know what your saying and agree on all points. How can the insurer back this when people don't follow proper protocols??? Eg. Track inspections. Lots of double standars ATM

You could let Greg Kee know that I put a new engine in his old kart at the beginning of last season, and then wrote it off by hitting the Armco on Eastern Loop at Lakeside in December (I needed to replace my helmet too, but otherwise walked away with just some bruising).  That kart had had a 'good life'.  Just last Friday a fellow karter went off to hospital with the lights flashing from a crash at the same place in practice; and on Saturday, I guy in an Alfa hit the Armco and died!).  Not to be deterred, I now have a brand new Arrow AX2 (which has about zero compatibility with the AX8 chassis - hence my selling all the old parts, spares, etc.) and intend to keep it on the track ......

Have a look at Peter Edgars latest video which shows the Gold Coast street meet in 2000. You are interviewed & your son interviews William Yarwood.

Hey Greg,

Could you send photos of what you have to vandermail@optusnet.com.au.

Also you wouldn't happen to have old style Alafano water temp sensor(I have other cable for that one).

Hi Greg,

My email address is rgagie@hotmail.com. My son Michael had his first run (retricted heavy) in 8 years last July at Ipswich (won) & we have a new Rotax engine but I certainly feel for the many thousands nationwide that may be affected.

Its my understanding that all our cranks have been hard chromed.  Around 50% of the time I do the bottom end myself and have Baron Engines rebuild / hard chrome cranks.  I have no reason to question their integrity.  Latest blow up was of a crank / bottom end not built by myself or Baron.  A very close look at many Yamaha crank halfs show poor blending of the radius between the crank and journal.  This seems to be made worse by the chroming process where a minor step is introduced around the journal section of the radius.  The fracture in the crank always starts at the "top" of the journal - with the piston at TDC.  I beleive this is caused by the low compression ratio we are forced to live with re the 11cc combustion chamber volume.  The relatively low compression does not provide enough damping of the piston as it approaches TDC that is needed to lower the mechanical loads on the piston / rod / crank assembly.  Closing up the crank halfs can help a tad but that is also restricted by the regs.  Such are the joys of karting!

I do recall that (brief) conversation.  We should talk again, at Greer Park, with a quiet beer or two.  See you there!

Yes Greg, the Biland is a sweet engine..i have not run it much & havent found it to be super fast...but it is very nice to drive with very smooth power delivery. I did have intentions of using it in 2011 more often but will probably race at the local hire track in their competition.

Regards, malcolm

at this stage the low volume edward wheels have been sold as long as the guy transfers the money into my account.
still have the black douglas rims, bolt on fronts, mag looking $200 without hubs or postage. rims have general wear and tear from racing and changing tyres.
do have hubs for them as well but need to check what length etc...
let me know.
